Their repertoire of Cossack epic songs, ballads, and religious hymns survived many tragedies and did not eliminate Ukraine’s national instrument, the bandura. After immigrating to the U.S. in 1949  and later performing before Congress as refugees to express their gratitude to the U.S. for welcoming them, the chorus continues to entertain and uplift the Ukrainian spirit in live concerts.
